Courtney's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have experience teaching the following subjects: middle school mathematics, middle Language Arts and high school English, study skills, as well as ESL. In addition, I majored in French and have the background and am certified to teach that subject. I take a student-centered approach to teaching and meet students at their levels of readiness. As a teacher, I worked with students who were below their grade-level for reading and writing and in just one academic year, I helped my students to grow an average of 3 reading levels. I now help college students to hone their essay writing and study skills. I also have ample experience tutoring students in test-taking skills to help prepare them for standardized tests.
