Ellen's Bio & Tutoring Experience

As a K-8 general music teacher I have gained experience with a variety of students. I have experience teaching basic music skills, beginning band, choir, and music history. As a first year teacher I was hired to design and execute a high school level music appreciation curriculum for a homeschool study group. I also have over five years of private music instruction experience and currently run a part time studio out of my house.
As a music teacher, I believe music instruction should be fun and develop musicians who create, perform, and consume music in an informed manner.
