Adam's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I graduated high school near the top of my class in 2013. While in school, I took a variety of classes covering a very wide range of subjects. Along with the general classes such as Math, Sciences, History, and English, I excelled in classes such as Psychology, Sociology, Accounting, Journalism, and Sports and Entertainment Marketing. My junior and senior year, I worked in the writing lab as an English tutor. There, I helped kids with papers, helped kids understand literature, and helped kids comprehend assignments, all without simply giving the answers away. On the hockey team, my coach had some of the students put together ACT prep classes. I took the lead on this and put together lesson plans each session covering one of the four ACT subjects. In addition to tutoring in school and with the hockey team, I also have coached hockey to kids of all ages. I believe this is where I really learned how to communicate with a student and effectively teach a skill or a lesson. I know that I am very young to be a respectable tutor, but I believe I can use that to my advantage. I can relate to students and even provide a positive influence. When I say, "it seems like just yesterday I was in your chair", it will actually be almost true.
