Adam's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring since 2006. As a high school senior, I tutored a junior for the AP Biology exam. In college, I tutored peers in biology and physics, and high school students in physics and chemistry. In the summer of 2013, I taught SAT and SHSAT prep courses at Gold Key Academics in Staten Island. I am currently in dental school, where I tutored a couple of classmates for our anatomy final, and I am currently working with a dentist from Germany who is preparing for the American boards.

I make it a point to follow up with all of my students after their exams, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. My test prep students saw considerable increases in their scores from the initial diagnostic exam, and my other students have achieved their goals for their courses. I make it a point to arrive at every lesson on time and prepared. I recognize that every student is different and I try to help each student relate to the material in his/her own way. I will ask students to repeat to me, in their own words, what I had said in order to ensure comprehension.

I graduated from Yeshiva University in the spring of 2013 with an BA in biology. I am currently a student at NYU College of Dentistry for a DDS, with expected graduation in the spring of 2017.
