Amanda's Bio & Tutoring Experience

My teaching experiences have allowed me to work with students from diverse populations. I completed my practicum at Westfield High School, where I taught many English Language Learners. After completing my practicum, I was recommended by the Language Arts Supervisor for the Westfield Public Schools district to fill in for a teacher on maternity leave for three month duration.
I am currently teaching 5th grade English Language Arts in Springfield, Ma. I have been responsible for creating and implementing my own curriculum. I have been using data based instruction to improve my curriculum and instruction for my students.
Previously I worked at Learning Styles in East Longmeadow, Ma. For three years at Learning Styles, I worked as a full-time tutor and tutor coordinator. I was responsible for hiring tutors and matching tutors with the appropriate students under Title 1. I also tracked data to ensure success with the student. I successfully tutored students from 1st grade through high school.
