Amy's Bio & Tutoring Experience

There is nothing I love more than teaching music! I have experience teaching instrumental music to elementary, middle school, and high school students. I taught band and instrumental lessons at Westfield Central School District in Westfield, NY for 4 months. I also have experience teaching General Music at the secondary level. I'm an active performer and currently play principal oboe in the Kent State University orchestra and Wind Ensemble. I hope to one day teach oboe at the college level.

I am currently a graduate assistant at Kent State University, where I am working on my Master's of Music in Oboe Performance. I graduated from SUNY Fredonia in Spring 2014 with my Bachelor's degree in Music Education. While at Fredonia I gained experience in teaching both instrumental and general music, and working with elementary through high school students.
