Amy's Bio & Tutoring Experience
Throughout my undergraduate years at Duke University, I engaged with my community through service learning courses. This allowed me to tutor a wide range of elementary, middle, and high school students through a variety of academic material (math, reading, writing) as well as project preparation and presentations.
I tutor based on the philosophy of Benjamin Franklin: "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn". It is this philosophy that helps me engage with students-- meeting them at their level-- and using their strengths to improve their weaknesses.
