Andrea's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have spent the past year tutoring high school and college English, proofreading my friends' creative work, consulting on grant applications, and working on various personal writing projects (including a one-woman show). Since graduating I have also continued to apply my writing skills by working for two start-up companies where I helped draft their emails and solicitation letters and participated in the development of their scripts, business proposals, and web content.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, salsa dancing, stand up comedy, discovering new coffee shops, and eating lots of sushi :)

I graduated from Washington College (Chestertown, MD) in May 2014 with dual degrees in English and Drama (high school = Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville, MD). I studied abroad in London for a semester on an International Excellence Scholarship and completed undergrad with a 3.6 GPA (high school = 4.0 GPA). In college I was a reporter for the school newspaper and wrote 5 grant applications that together awarded me over $14,000 thanks to focused writing and exhaustive research.
