Anthony's Bio & Tutoring Experience

As a licensed 7-12th grade teacher, a professional with a Master's degree in secondary education, and someone who is personally dedicated to the success of each one of his students, I am an excellent choice when it comes to choosing a tutor. My academic credentials aside, I have had the opportunity to travel the world and to live and work abroad. These experiences give me some very valuable insight, especially when it comes to working with students of different cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds. What makes me a good teacher: Above all, I am dedicated to seeing my students succeed. I understand the importance of building relationships with my students, so they feel comfortable taking chances and making mistakes and they know that they have someone who believes in them and their ability to succeed.

My most recent teaching experience was as the Advanced Placement English Language and Composition teacher for a STEM school in Tucson, Arizona. I have also worked with the Department of Education in Arizona as a mathematics AIMS tutor, and I have taught SAT Math and SAT Verbal with Sylvan Learning Center. Furthermore, I have just completed a French immersion program in Montreal, Quebec, and feel quite comfortable tutoring French through AP French.

I have a BA degree in linguistics with concentration in teaching English as a second language. I have a master's degree in secondary education, and I am licensed to teach English, grades 7-12th in Arizona and Montana. In addition, I am a certified clinical hemodialysis technician and preceptor.
