Ashton's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I've never actually tutored, but I'd love to try. Spelling, English at the lower levels, and math at almost all levels are my forte. I am in college at the moment, which is why I chose elementary and middle school tutoring. I'm very smart and professional. I've tutored my sister who is very prone to becoming emotional when she doesn't understand things. I'm able to talk in such a way that's calming and logical when it comes to fully understanding a subject. I've been to the state spelling bee in both Alabama and Florida. That was at least eight years ago. To say I got smarter from there is an understatement. I scored in the 97th percentile in math in the Florida school system on a standardized test known as the FCAT. That was probably about nine years ago. I'm able to read people and see what kind of person or attitude can get through to them. I should also mention that I can tutor for the saxophone. The saxophone I was trained to play is the alto but they're all basically the same and I can tutor for them all. I've been through music theory classes and I've played the saxophone for over nine years. I'm currently in the jazz ensemble group at my college.
