When I was a Freshman in high school I excelled so much that the teacher asked me to be her assistant, and with my help 90% of the class passed with above a "B" average. I also tutored 6 students in my American History class in 11th grade and had great success with them as well. In 6th grade I was asked to stop competing in the school's spelling bee because "I was too good, and needed to give the other kids a chance. I also have 2 children which I tutor at home, and whose grades are in the very high 90's. I speak some conversational Spanish but I'm not completely fluent and my grammar is impeccable as I've taken many journalism and advanced writing classes in high school and college.
