I have taught one year of interrelated/special education on the elementary level and have substituted for three years, as well as working in daycares and nonprofits with children since I was sixteen.
People find it easy to connect with me and feel at ease to ask questions and express what they are having trouble with. I am gifted at helping connect with the individual I am working with and how he/she learns best, explaining the material in a way that the student understands. I use pictures, manipulatives, songs, stories, etc. - whatever it takes for them to gain understanding of the subject matter.
