Brianna's Bio & Tutoring Experience

My name is Brianna Craviotto and I recently graduated from Whitworth University with a degree in Elementary Education, endorsements in Reading and teaching English Language Learners.
Growing up, I struggled academically. At a young age, I was diagnosed with Dyslexia and Attention Deficit Disorder, making it nearly impossible to learn to read or understand math. With the help of many tutors, I was able to learn what strategies were most effective to ensure my own academic success. I was only in 3rd grade when I decided I would be a teacher.
My tutoring experiences began as a student when I was in 1st grade and continued on until 8th grade. My first experience being a tutor was my Sophmore year at Whitworth, when I began working one-on-one with the students in my 1st grade class. I continued this every semester until my last semester of my senior year, during which I student taught and was in charge of the entire classroom as opposed to a few individuals. I also have worked with students with extra needs such as: Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, and Autism.

I started my undergraduate career at Marymount Manhattan pursuing degrees in Classical Ballet and Education. After becoming burnt out on the life of a dancer and feeling frustrated with the lack of attention I was able to give to my education classes, I moved home and went to city college. In February of 2011, I moved to Spokane to go Whitworth University. I chose Whitworth because it is the top rated school in the country for it's educational program.
