Bryan's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring and teaching for more than 15 years, beginning as a tutor in undergraduate school. I have taught multiple subjects in multiple languages. I hold a California Education Specialist credential and have taught in California public schools for the last five years. I have worked as a mentor/trainer for developing teachers both in the U.S. and abroad.
My teaching philosophy is student-centered and equity-minded. I believe, first and foremost, in teaching from an assets-based approach. Empowering students to build upon their strengths and interests provides necessary focus and direction, and guides the instructor to the most appropriate, targeted instructional strategies that will create the access, experience, and practice needed for content and skills acquisition.
