Caleb's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I worked in my university's Math and Science tutoring Center from August 2009 to July 2013. I would tutor college students in Preparatory Algebra, College Algebra, Math Modeling, Trigonometry, Applied Calculus, Biology, and Astronomy. Many students have given great comments on my patience with them and some have thanked me for bringing their grades up from an F or D to an A or B. What I try to do is work a few problems with the student, that way he/she understands the steps of the problems. Then, I let the student work some problems by himself/herself to make sure he/she understood the concept. If the student missed a step, then I go back over the problem to carefully explain what he/she missed, continuing until the student understands the material. In addition to those math and sciences, my major in History and minor in Spanish have given me experience to tutor those subjects as well.

I am a recent college graduate of Columbus State University. I have a B.A. in History with Honors and I minored in Spanish. Throughout my college career, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA, and have even studied abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
