Catalina's Bio & Tutoring Experience

As an experienced writing tutor, I have worked with students in a classroom setting and one-on-one. I have versatile teaching methods because I understand that not all students learn the same way. My ultimate goal is to help students increase critical thinking, writing, and editing skills. I also assist students in reading comprehension. Because of my extensive experience as a writing tutor, I am able to address a student's strengths and weaknesses. I have worked with students of various writing levels and aim to help all students build confidence in writing. I have a bubbly, welcoming personality and I like to make writing fun!

I am currently enrolled in an accelerated Bachelor program at California State University, Stanislaus. I will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science in May, 2016. I began my educational journey at San Joaquin Delta College where I received the following degrees: Associate of Arts in Teacher Prep. Education (Honorable Mention), Associate of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences (Honorable Mention), and Associate of Arts in Arts and Humanities.
