I am a retired college professor who taught in several areas. At the university level, I taught history, writing and integrative studies (English and American literature, film, anthropology, sociology, other social studies, etc.). I have also tutored high school students in history, English, drama, biology, earth science, study skills and writing. I have also tutored for the PSAT, the SAT, the ACT and advanced placement subject tests. When I tutored high school students for advanced placement tests, I increased the number of students who passed the exams by about 60 percent. I also taught elementary school teachers to improve their teaching skills in history and literature.
