Corey's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Hi. My name is Corey and I am a Sophomore at Avila University. I am studying Nursing with a minor in Psychology. One might think, why would a Nursing major be doing tutoring. Well, the answer is that I was a Math tutor throughout high school and I thought about going into Education, but I had a calling to do Nursing. Anyway, I was supposed to be a tutor on campus this year, but I am also a mentor and they won't allow one to do both. I also tutored/tutor many people in Math 90, Math 91, and College Algebra last year and this year. I have also tutored in Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy before.

I attended Hayden High School it Topeka, KS and I graduated with a GPA of 4.125 on a 4.0 grading scale. In high school I was in honors classes every year and I was involved in many extracurricular activities all the way from Honor Roll, Student Council, Varsity Golf, Drama Club, President of Pro-Life Club, etc. I am currently on the Dean's Honor Roll, in the Medialle Honor Society, Campus Ministry, Mentor and I have a cumulative GPA of 3.88.
