Donna's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Teaching is my life passion and I feel very fortunate to say that I have taught students in preschool through Grade 11 in some capacity. It was my childhood dream to a teacher and I have loved every minute of it, as challenging as it can be at times! :) Currently, I am teaching Grade 4 students; however, in my building, I have taught Grade 5, Grade 3, and Grade 2 as well. This will be year 20 in my teaching career. Most of my tutoring experience was while I was working in a school for dyslexic children. I tutored Grade 4 through Grade 10 students in all subjects over the span of 4 years and I developed individualized tutoring programs/schedules for each of the students I worked with on a daily basis. Just this past year, I was awarded the Harold Grinspoon Excellence in Teaching award in my school district for 2015. I was one out of 9 teachers in aproximately 800 employees to be chosen for this prestigious award.
I am also a single mother of three awesome children! I am so lucky! As you can see, I am surrounded by children both at home and in my profession. I live my passion!
