Emily's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I am a lifelong learner. I have a strong background in the social sciences and in English and French. I have been teaching since 2011, and I enjoy working one-on-one with students. My tutoring background includes adult learners and students as young as ten. I am very flexible, and would be happy to work with you on whatever projects or subjects you like. Preparedness is important to me, and I will always come to our lessons with materials.

I have also successfully taken the ACT, SAT, LSAT and various SAT Subject tests and AP tests including: AP World History, AP European History, AP Language and Composition, and the SAT World History Subject Test.

Finally, I have three years of experience teaching English as a Second language abroad in Korea and Turkey, and would be able to apply what I learned in those classrooms to our tutoring sessions. I also taught English online through Open English, and am very comfortable teaching in an online setting.
