Erin's Bio & Tutoring Experience

My first tutoring experience was as a volunteer in college, where I worked with a high school student with learning disabilities for four years and helped her get into community college. I am currently an ACT/SAT prep tutor at a local learning center specializing in verbal and science skills and I also teach biology at Boise State University. My student reviews have indicated that I excel at finding new ways to explain difficult concepts to students who might otherwise be overwhelmed by complex subjects. I believe that one of my greatest assets is my ability to explain things in different ways: if a student doesn't understand something the first time I say it, I find a new approach instead of just repeating myself.
