Haley's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Hi, my name is Haley Newton. I am an undergraduate at The Ohio State University where I major in Linguistics. Coming from a large family, I know how crazy life can be! That being said, I love that "lightbulb moment" when children truly understand. I've participated in countless community service events, working with children in most of them. I have tutored elementary and middle school children in every subject, and I have also helped high school children with English, history, and some levels of math. On top of these wonderful experiences, I have gotten the chance to help a few children with impairments, including ADD/ADHD. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smile on a child's face as they start to understand their education.

I am a high school and career/technical school graduate. I took multiple AP and College level courses, including: U.S. History, Calculus, Pre-calculus, English, and Chemistry. I also received OPOTA-level Criminal Justice training. I am currently an undergraduate and have completed my first semester of college.
