Heather's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I am a 2005 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Secondary Education English. I have taught English, Journalism, and Creative Writing for the past 8 years at the high school level. During my ninth year of teaching, I lost my mother tragically. Since she was also the daytime caretaker of my three small children, I decided to stay home with my children in order to ensure their well being and to help them heal from their loss. Teaching is in my blood though, and not something that I am completely ready to give up. Tutoring allows me the opportunity to still do what I love while taking care of my family. I have a current South Carolina teaching certificate, am AP literature certified, and have experience teaching those wishing to pass the GED, HSAP, and EOC. If you want to improve your English grade, learn to write creatively or for essays, and not feel like you are being tortured while doing it, I am the private teacher you are looking for!
