Jackie's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have helped to tutor students in high school math (specifically Algebra 2), French, and English. My fields of study in college are French and English with the intent to teach either at the high school level. I have a large amount of patience for students willing to work with me and I can use real-world examples to make concepts and problems easier for the student to understand. At the college level, I have helped tutor an adult learner in Film Appreciation as well as international students struggling with English and English speakers struggling with French.

I have an Associate's of Arts degree from Lorain County Community college. I have taken four years of high school French and I have been commended on several occasions for my high mastery of the language for someone of my age and exposure to French. I have been to France and I have been able to communicate effectively with native speakers. I am currently attending the University of Akron to double major in French and Language Arts with the hopes of being able to teach one or both in a secondary school.
