Jody's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have logged over 300 hours tutoring with both ESL and English language students at the Pratt Institute. I have a very utilitarian approach to learning. Essentially, I incorporate a self-sufficient attitude, communication skills, and good study habits, which will allow them to make better decisions about their own education and future profession.
One does not have to look hard to see that our children stand as pawns of a political system that plays cavalier with their future. In an age where we are finally willing to look at alternative methods of pedagogy and have mastered the social network, shouldn't the internet supplement the coursework officially. Once a student understands what a truly good source is (most popular sites are not good sources), and develops good research habits, it should affect every aspect of their life. Everyone has their own educational fingerprint made up of what they know, how they learn, how they learn best, and what they need to learn(about the given subject). I adapt my style to what we decide is the best way to study based on present habits, needs, and goals. I focus on software/internet tools available for organization and ultimately success.
