Jon's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I consider myself a lifelong learner which is fortunate because I have worked in an academic library for over a decade helping students locate information and complete assignments. I am certified to teach middle school social studies; however, I also am comfortable tutoring below and above that grade level in subjects such as History, Civics, Government, and Geography. Having completed two graduate level courses on the subject and written numerous academically rigorous papers, I am comfortable in my ability to teach research methods to high school students, and information retrieval and application methods to younger researchers. I have tutored in a writing center as a grad student, have had an original one-act play published and produced, and am extremely confident in my ability to help students in need succeed.
