Joshua's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I helped tutor for my French Club (Le Cercle Francais) at Transylvania University. It was an informal, volunteer based tutoring. I would wait in a reserved section of the library for students to come who needed help with their French homework. My adviser, who was head of the French department, specifically requested me to help with the tutoring.

I also have a little brother and sister who I helped with their elementary math homework when they would have trouble with fractions, or multiplication, or whatever they might have needed help with.

Finally, I've been told by multiple teachers (at the high school and college level), that they enjoy having me in their class because I am able to explain things to students in new ways that they often understand better than the ways the teachers initially explained it. I can distill information down to it's most basic, comprehensible parts, allowing students to grasp first the individual pieces, and then the big picture.
