Joshua's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Hello! I am a recent graduate from New Mexico Military Institute's Junior College. I also graduated with highest honors from their high-school program. I have a passion for learning new things and thoroughly enjoy helping others understand new topics. I receive great joy from helping others.

I tutored peers voluntarily throughout high-school and my two years of college mostly in math and sciences (chemistry/physics), but also in writing and composition. I have only tutored three individuals regularly, each of them in math. All three students raised their grade at least one letter. One student raised her grade from a D to a B over the course of one month.

I am gifted with being able to explain a concept many different ways until the student can grasp the basic ideas, and then using that foundation to quickly expand understanding of the topic. I am extremely patient and will take as much time as necessary to ensure that the material is truly understood. It is exciting when everything finally clicks! My teacher's heart extends to all areas of my life: I enjoy sharing knowledge.
