Juan's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I began tutoring at quite a young age. Most of my friends in elementary school were ESL students and I would help several with their pronunciation. Helping others in English became a goal of mine because I was born two and a half months premature and consequently developed some linguistic impediments. I learned to speak properly until the age of four and reading itself was a challenge. My childhood experience led to develop a vital interest in helping others with educational obstacles.
Then in 2004, I began helping Catholic priests and seminarians in their English grammar and pronunciation. Then, in 2011 I taught undocumented teenagers ESL and to Adults for a semester at the Brownsville Literacy Center. I am currently tutoring a couple of college and graduates students in the ESL program.
From all of my experiences, I developed a confident pedagogy with my acquaintances. I enjoy tutoring on a one to one basis. The atmosphere gives me a better opportunity to evaluate the student's needs and method of learning. My purpose is not simply to correct or presume my intelligence or knowledge but to share it will others and helps them acquires the skills I developed through my progress.
My goal at this moment is to become a dependable and credible tutor. My major interest are History, ESL, Reading, Spanish and Mathematics. I developed great confidence in these fields and excelled in them in my educational experience.
