Kevin's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I'm currently working on my masters in a civil engineering related focus, and have not had any tutoring experience though I love to share knowledge and am very good at breaking things down simply in various ways to help accommodate different learning styles. I instructed a junior level college lab class in the spring of 2014 made up of 41 civil engineering students. I held problem and test review sessions in place of the professor in a classroom of up to 50 junior/senior level civil engineering students. In the summer of 2013. I also gave a presentation on behalf of the University of Dayton's Civil Engineering department to potential incoming high school students, with the purpose of informing them as to what civil engineering entails and professional paths one may take with a degree in civil engineering. I led an educational activity for elementary school students on behalf of the Dayton International Airport for the University of Dayton's "Water Week". I also have had previous experience working with younger children as a Birthday party host in a summer part-time job. I have some leadership training experience from completing a 6-week increment of Marine Corps Officer Candidate School, as well as from volunteering as the president of the University of Dayton's club wrestling team for one season.
