Kira's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Hello!

My name is Kira and I am a State Certified Secondary English Education/ Public Speaking instructor. I am available for private tutoring sessions in any English Language Arts area, speech preparation and writing, and remedial reading for adults.

I have twelve years of experience teaching English with students from sixth to twelfth grades. I have worked for five years in GED preparation programs and with remedial adult instruction. I have four concentrated years of teaching special education, as well as two years of teaching English and Public Speaking at the community college level.

I have a passion for words that I would love to share with you or your student! I am available for private tutoring sessions by appointment. I can also assist with CMU and MMCC students for portfolio papers and Public Speaking papers. For those not currently a student, I am also available for cover letter and resume writing and interview skills.



Let me help you de-mystify reading and writing! I will challenge your skills, open doors, and make this subject fun. Writing college papers may seem scary, but with a few short sessions of focus and preparation, it can be done! Let me show you how.

My technology background gives me an array of learning tools to help find what best suits your interest. I am available in my home or at a pre arranged location during daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

I am the mother of three lovely school aged children. My middle son as Asperger's Syndrome and I have learned first hand what difficulties special needs can bring to the English Language Arts subject. I will show you how to be the master of your words.!

I have a BS in Secondary English Education/Public Speaking, Debate, and Drama from Ferris State University and a MA in Educational Technology from Michigan State University.
