Kyle's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Ever since I was young I have excelled in math and science-based courses. Having a hungry mind for knowledge I have always tried to take the most challenging courses. In high school, in order to continue to challenge myself I had to take math courses at a local University. I have been teaching my peers and siblings math and science for years. I have been gifted with the ability to understand complicated mathematical concepts and apply them in all situations in real life, as well as academically.

My method when it comes to teaching math or science is to start with a simple, easy to understand base and work up from there adding in more steps with practice. The key to grasping concepts in math or science is not only repetition, but also understanding the reason why you take certain steps. Once a student is able to explain how and why they add, multiply, reduce, etc. they have understood the concept intended. Studies have shown that teaching/explaining concepts is one of the best ways to learn and I try to incorporate that into my methods of tutoring.

I graduated in the top ten percent of my high school with a GPA of 4.2. I have multiple AP and honors courses on my resume as well. I have also excelled in college. I am currently an engineering student with all of my general education out of the way. I achieved a perfect score on the math and science portion of the ACT and SAT.
