Lacy's Bio & Tutoring Experience

There is nothing more rewarding than helping other people grow and challenge themselves. One of my favorite parts about tutoring is discovering that "special way" that helps a student understand the material.

I have attained 170-hr TEFL-certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and also graduated Florida State University with a 3.95 GPA. In high school, I was an AP scholar with distinction, and got a 720 and a 680 on the reading and writing sections of the SAT respectively.

From May-August 2013, I volunteered with the Center for Intensive English Studies at FSU. I tutored children and adults with different levels of English ability. I was also a teaching assistant for an adult intermediate level grammar class from June-August 2013.

In addition to English (writing and reading), I also teach piano, flute and music theory privately. I look forward to working with you!
