Lucas's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I am student enrolled at the University of Akron for my junior year.
My major area of study is in Mechanical Engineering and I am pursuing a minor in Mathematics. The majority of my tutoring experience involved helping my fellow classmates understand a particular concept or method of solving a problem. My goal when tutoring is to have a discussion and dialogue. I am always looking for feedback from my students; and I am always happy to provide additional clarification as needed. I tend to focus on teaching fundamental strategies and tactics, which can be employed in a variety of situations to solve particular problems. My most recent tutoring experience was for a family friend who sought to test out of lower level algebra courses.

My studies have equipped me with an understanding of physics, dynamics, statics, mechanics of solids, thermodynamics, etc. I also possess extensive experience in many areas of mathematics including algebra, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations.
