Lucas's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I am a successful college graduate with previous experience as a student peer tutor. I have experience with multiple tests, including the ACT, SAT, MCAT, and GRE. I have helped others study and pass these tests and I myself have completed three (ACT, SAT, MCAT) with excellent scores. I prefer a tutoring methodology which is adaptable to the student. In my experience, individuals will not always positively respond to a rigid curriculum. The ability to adapt to an individuals learning style is crucial to bring them to the necessary level of knowledge and understanding required. For example, some student will require only the bare essentials of a concept and must be simply probed with questions for them to retain the relevant knowledge. Others may require a step by step explanation. These two types of learning styles represent the two extremes from a varied spectrum. Regardless of the learning style, I strive to bring students to a level of understanding where they can confidently and successfully apply their knowledge.
