Madison's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have been an independent tutor since September of 2014. I have tutored high school and college level sciences, but am very comfortable in english/writing and math as well. I value the importance of studying in an environment that is comfortable to the student, which is why I always offer to come to their house. Something I like to make clear with my students and parents is that I don't tutor just for a good grade, but I tutor to help form study habits that will help the student be more efficient in the future. There are certain ways to study for each subject that differ from each other, and learning these from an earlier age will benefit the student in the long run.

In my free time I enjoy baking yummy goods, writing (hopefully one day I'll be published), and exploring the beautiful Oregon scenery with my friends. I also absolutely love volunteering my time to wildlife organizations around Eugene.

I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in environmental science and a minor in biology. During my college years I also worked in an internship position at a local elementary school. We developed and implemented an entire curriculum for grades 1-5. I plan on attending graduate school for my teachers certificate or for wildlife conservation.
