Mandy's Bio & Tutoring Experience

As an alum of Teach for America, I posses a passion of teaching and learning. For two years, I taught sophomore English at one of Chicago's most successful charter schools, Pritzker College Prep. I made significant gains with my students on the English section of the PLAN. They also acquired a love of reading and writing that helped them to succeed in the rest of their high school careers and beyond.

After moving from Chicago, I taught at Lake House Academy, which is a private boarding school for adolescent girls with emotional and behavioral problems. The girls I taught at Lake House learned to write in order to express their feelings and to escape into reading.
