Mark's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring all levels of mathematics for over 30 years. The majority of the students I have tutored have been grades 6 through high school. I also have experience with tutoring college students with college algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and finite mathematics.
I really enjoy tutoring for the relationship that develops as the sessions progress. Having attended many tutor training workshops, I like to ask a lot of questions during the sessions and ask students to explain concepts to me. I like the challenge of finding out how a student thinks about mathematics.

I have a Bachelor's degree in the teaching of mathematics grades 6-12 and Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
I am a certified teacher grades 6-12 in mathematics. I taught high school for nearly 25 years and community college for 6 years. At high school, I taught every course from General Math through Calculus. At the community college level, I taught developmental math and college algebra. I tutored at least 1 student every semester of every year I've been teaching.
