Michael 's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for eight years in several school districts around Western New York. Currently, I am employed with the Grand Island Central School District as a grade 2 Special Education Consultant Teacher. My unwavering commitment to educating children, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, solid instructional methods, and vast hands-on experience will prove to be a positive asset to your child. As a parent, and an educator, I know the importance of continued growth, success, and academic achievement in a child's endeavor to be college and career ready.
I am very savvy with the Common Core Standards required of students today and the NYS assessments they are required to take. Tutoring sessions will include pre-assessment diagnostic evaluations, explicit instruction in the desired subject area(s), performance progress assessments to show growth, and support strategies for parents to help their child.

I am a Daemen College graduate with a dual BS degree in Elementary Education (1-6) and Elementary Special Education (1-6), as well as being certified in Early Childhood Education (B-2). I also attended Buffalo State College where I earned a MS degree from the Literacy Specialist Program (B-6 & 5-12).
