Nicole's Bio & Tutoring Experience
January 2009 to Current: ABA Tutor
• For the past four years I have been working as an in-home ABA tutor and program consultant. Children I have been working with range in age from 17 months through 14 years of age. My duties include running programs, detailed observations, charting, graphing, monthly team meetings, and attending scheduled IEP meetings.
August 2007 to June 2009: Third Grade Girls Teacher
• I worked as a teacher in a private school in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The academy is chartered through the State of Ohio, and the position was part-time. I had to teach all general education areas in less than three hours. It was a very demanding and intense curriculum. The comprehensive curriculum was designed to meet the various needs of our student body and set national standards. In addition to my daily teaching duties I was also required to plan and carry out two staff meetings each year. This included a one-hour presentation with motivational and informational handouts relevant to the current state of education for each meeting. There was also a question and answer session at the end of each meeting which I was required to be fully prepared for.
August 2006 to June 2007: Substitute Teacher
• During this time I worked as a substitute teacher in the Mentor Public School System. I taught at the various elementary schools in the district. My duties included classroom management, following lesson plans, school schedules, and programs as the regular classroom teacher would have.
