Olivia's Bio & Tutoring Experience

In total, I have 4 years of experience in tutoring and in working with youth in the education field. For the past 4 years, I have been a part of a program that partners college students with at-risk youth in helping them build sustainable social justice projects that impact their community. During this time, I have worked with 3rd-12th grade students - mentoring, guiding, and helping them build upon real world skills such as: research, presentation, and community work.

Additionally, I volunteered with a tutoring program while I was in college. This program brought together college student volunteer tutors and immigrant university employees that were looking for opportunities to learn English as a second language. Many of these employees were looking to build upon their English skills in order to gain a promotion, pass the citizenship test, or be able to perform daily social interactions in English. I volunteered with this program for 2 and half years.

I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Ecological and Evolutionary Biology. During my three years at college, I took the following classes: Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Calculus, Physics, Spanish, Evolutionary science, and Ecology.
