Roy's Bio & Tutoring Experience

Although I have not formally taught or tutored for several years, I enjoyed my time as a graduate assistant teaching laboratory classes. As part of my current position, I give talks to school age children and adults concerning the wildlife in our area. I am knowledgeable in the biological sciences, statistics dealing with the sciences, and wildlife related courses. I believe that students learn best by doing. With guidance, patience, knowledge, encouragement and the freedom to fail (and learning from such failures), it is my experience that students will grow and become adept at those subjects that give them the most trouble.

I have a BS in Wildlife Ecology and Environmental Science, a minor in Chemistry, and a MS in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology. I have co-authored two pier-reviewed publications and have given input into many official reports.
