Samuel's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have a combine passion for education with classroom teaching, extracurricular, and business world experiences, as well as published writing and communication skills to facilitate student learning.

Whether coordinating activities at a summer camp, tutoring English while on my own intensive language study in Guatemala, training teams of environmental canvassers, or forgoing a promising for-profit career to become a teacher, my actions reflect my passion for education.

As a certified and experienced classroom teacher, I deliver well planned and standards-based lessons, and monitor and adjust for greater student success; however, I also endeavor to foster a learning environment in which students actively participate in learning, cultivate their own "aha" moments, and are inspired to seek further learning.

In addition to classroom teaching, I pull from a wealth of sports coaching, business management, and travel experiences, as well as writing and communication skills to connect with each student and help them nurture the type of multidisciplinary skills required of today's students.
