Sara's Bio & Tutoring Experience

As a future teacher, tutoring is something that comes very naturally to me. I have been a volunteer tutor for various subjects throughout my education (especially while I was in high school) and it is something I very much enjoy. I tutor in a way that allows the child to learn for themselves as much, if not more than, they learn from me. Your child should feel in charge of their education as every child has a different learning process and it is important that they are able to use their own strategies to understand material. I am also the director of a youth theater company for grades K-6 and have worked in many school settings ranging from general education classrooms K-6 to special education classes of all kinds. I am comfortable working with children of all abilities and in plenty of subjects. I would be more than willing to speak with you further about my background should you wish to know more.

I graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, NY in 2012 where I received an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. Following high school I attended SUNY Jefferson for one year where I received my Associates Degree with Honors in Liberal Arts in 2013. Following my year at SUNY Jefferson I transferred to SUNY Geneseo. I am a senior this year and I am a double major in Childhood/Special Education and Vocal Performance.
