Sarah's Bio & Tutoring Experience

My name Is Mrs. Sarah Talbot-Haynes. I have worked as a middle school math teacher with 7th and 8th graders teaching them Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. While working as a full-time math teacher I also tutored this age group in both reading and math during in-school intervention tutoring and after school. I am very good at being able to access where a student is having trouble with their studies, then find the most comprehensive, and effective way to approach the learning process of the material. I see every student as an individual with a specific learning style and pace. I use these strengths in order to help the student understand and excel in the subject matter that are struggling with. I believe that math can be done by everyone if it is explained in a way that makes sense. Utilizing the steps and thoroughly explaining each step is key in helping students comprehend, and "click" with math.
