As a secondary special educator (EI) with 16 years experience in a culturally diverse, urban setting, I offer a rich and varied background of success with students of all types of disabilities in both large, comprehensive and small, alternative education high schools. I am certified to teach online, and I am technologically savvy. From standards-based grading and common core state standards to differentiated instruction and culturally responsive teaching, I incorporate new and proven educational methods in my instruction and classroom management to engage even the hardest to reach students.
