Thomas's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I have been a professional Medical Interpreter for a local Childrens Hospital for over a year and a half. Prior to that, I volunteered as a Medical Interpreter for a free medical clinic for 3 years while in school, during which time I completed my B.A. in Spanish. As part of this degree, I travelled twice to study abroad in Spain, and twice to study in Mexico. I also possess my Medical Interpreter certification.
I have been tutoring students, from kindergarten through college, for the past year and a half, and have helped students go from nearly failing out of the course to achieving a solid A in the class. In order to effectively tutor any student, I pay close attention not only to the particular subject matter, but also to the specific areas of difficulty and the individual students learning methodology, eg auditory learner vs visual learner.
