Vera's Bio & Tutoring Experience

I home-schooled 2 of my five children through grade eight (now 21 and 19), one of the five through grade 5 (now at PHS in grade 12), one through grade 3 (now at PJMS in grade 8), and am currently homeschooling my 4th grader through Mat-Su Central School. I also own a yarn shop in Palmer and teach a variety of knitting and fiber-arts related classes, including classes for inmates at the Mat-Su Youth Facility. I have coached soccer for 3 years (ranging from boys U-8 to Girls U-19), coached the 2013 Special Olympics Mat-Su swim team, and have been certified in WSI (Water Safety Instruction. I am told that I have a lot of patience with students of all ages and capabilities.
